Wake Up Youth Mobilization Tour Energizes Buikwe District

Yesterday, the Wake Up Youth Mobilization Tour made a vibrant stop at Najja Playgrounds, drawing hundreds of young people eager to learn about opportunities available through government programs. The event was led by Hon. Balaam Barugahara, Minister for the Youth, alongside local leaders and technical teams.

The mobilization tour focused on sensitizing youth about key initiatives designed to empower them, including access to income-generating projects, mindset change campaigns, and accountability for district development funds. Minister Barugahara emphasized the importance of active participation, urging young people to seize the opportunities provided to shape their future.

Technical teams delivered clear guidance on how youth can tap into government programs, ranging from entrepreneurship support to skills development. The sessions highlighted practical pathways for young people to become self-reliant, innovative, and engaged in community growth.

Local leaders expressed gratitude for the strong turnout and the enthusiasm shown by the youth. “The youth of Buikwe are informed, and ready to take charge of their future,” one official remarked, noting that the mobilization tour had sparked renewed confidence among young people in the district.
