In a heartfelt visit to Zzitwe Parish, Ssi-Bukunja Sub County in Buikwe South, Hon. Diana Mutasingwa engaged with residents as part of her Parish Development Model (PDM) monitoring activities. The PDM is a pivotal government initiative designed to empower communities to enhance their livelihoods through grassroots planning and poverty eradication at the parish level .As part of her commitment to community welfare, Zzitwe Parish received a 100-seater tent and over 100 chairs to support community gatherings and activities in its nine villages. These resources will play a crucial role in facilitating local events and strengthening community bonds. This initiative is not limited to Zzitwe Parish; plans are in place to extend similar support to other parishes, ensuring that community development efforts are bolstered across the region. “This initiative will be extended to other Parishes to boost community development,” she added. Mutasingwa’s visit and the provision of resources highlight her dedication to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Buikwe South. By fostering community engagement and supporting local initiatives, the PDM is making tangible strides towards sustainable development and economic empowerment.As the PDM continues to expand its reach, the enthusiastic participation of communities like Zzitwe Parish serves as a testament to the program’s impact and the positive change it brings to the lives of countless individuals.
