In a gesture of regional solidarity and diplomatic engagement, Hon. Diana Mutasingwa this evening extended a warm welcome to Senator Hassan Omar, the General Secretary of Kenya’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. Senator Omar arrived in Uganda to participate in the highly anticipated National Resistance Movement (NRM) Delegates Conference, scheduled to commence tomorrow at Kololo Independence Grounds.
The distinguished Kenyan leader was received alongside Maj. (Rtd) Pollar Awich, the NRM Director of External Affairs, and a delegation of esteemed guests. Their arrival marks a significant moment in East African political cooperation, underscoring the shared values and mutual respect between Uganda and Kenya.
Hon. Mutasingwa expressed her deep appreciation for Senator Omar’s presence, describing it as “a great honor” and a testament to the enduring ties between the NRM and its regional counterparts. The upcoming conference is expected to draw key leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the country and beyond, as the NRM charts its course for the future.
