Hon. Diana Mutasingwa Strengthens PDM with New Initiatives in Njeru Municipal and Kkonko Parish

Today, Hon. Diana Mutasingwa, the dedicated Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President, took another bold step in strengthening the Parish Development Model (PDM) by providing laptops to parish chiefs, SACCO chairpersons, and town agents. This initiative, launched at Njeru Municipal, aims to enhance data entry and registration processes, ensuring faster processing of funds for PDM beneficiaries while improving data accuracy and record-keeping. In addition to the launch at Njeru Municipal, Hon. Mutasingwa also engaged with the residents of Kkonko Parish, Wakisi Division, where she witnessed an overwhelming turnout in support of the PDM. The enthusiastic participation of the community members highlighted the program’s role as a powerful tool for economic empowerment. Hon. Mutasingwa emphasized that the PDM is more than just a program; it is a movement towards sustainable livelihoods and economic growth in the country. “PDM is not just a program, it is a movement towards sustainable livelihoods and economic growth in the country,” she added.To further strengthen village structures, eight villages received tents and chairs to facilitate meetings and community activities. These resources are expected to enhance organization and improve service delivery at the local level, contributing to the overall success of the PDM.
