Hon. Diana Mutasingwa, State Minister in the Office of the Vice President and Woman MP for Buikwe District, continued her hands-on leadership this week with a community-centered visit to Kigugo Village, Namukuma Parish, Ssi-Bukunja, where she met with local residents to discuss pressing issues and celebrate youth leadership.

In a heartfelt dialogue with the fishing community, Hon. Mutasingwa addressed the challenges faced by those whose livelihoods depend on Lake Victoria and surrounding water bodies. Her visit offered a platform for fishermen to voice their concerns and explore collaborative solutions.
“I had the opportunity to engage with the fishing community to address their issues,” she shared. “And also interact with the women and youth in the area.”
Her inclusive approach ensured that women and young people were equally heard, reinforcing her commitment to holistic development across Buikwe.
🟡 Opening the NRM Youth Office: A Symbol of Growing Leadership
Later in the day, Hon. Mutasingwa officially opened the NRM Youth Office in Kigugo Village—a milestone for youth mobilization and political engagement in the region.
“I’m very proud of the growing leadership and organisation among our youth, who remain committed to the NRM cause,” she said. “Let us continue to build on this momentum.”
The new office is expected to serve as a hub for youth activities, leadership training, and community outreach, strengthening the role of young people in shaping Buikwe’s future.
