Hon. Diana Mutasingwa Applauds Afro-Arab Youth Congress 2025 as a Beacon of Unity and Innovation

Munyonyo, Kampala — October 2025

Hon. Diana Mutasingwa, Woman Member of Parliament for Buikwe District and Minister in the Office of the Vice President, joined distinguished guests and youth leaders at the Kick-Off Ceremony of the Afro-Arab Youth Congress 2025, held at Speke Resort Munyonyo. The event marked the beginning of a transformative week of dialogue, collaboration, and visionary leadership among young changemakers from across Africa and the Arab world.

“This Congress serves as a significant platform for young leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue, take part in shaping the development of their countries, embrace diversity, and create innovative solutions to the shared challenges we face,” Hon. Mutasingwa remarked during the opening session.

The Afro-Arab Youth Congress, supported under the patronage of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, aims to foster cross-cultural understanding, peacebuilding, and sustainable development through youth-led initiatives. Hon. Mutasingwa expressed deep appreciation for the President’s unwavering support: “I extend my sincere gratitude to H.E. @KagutaMuseveni for his patronage and unwavering support of the Council, and for providing a platform that empowers Afro-Arab youth to unite around a shared vision of progress, peace, and collaboration.”

As the Congress unfolds, Hon. Mutasingwa emphasized the importance of forging lasting partnerships and nurturing leadership that transcends borders. “I look forward to constructive discussions and partnerships that will strengthen cooperation and deliver lasting impact,” she concluded.

The Congress continues throughout the week with plenary sessions, cultural showcases, and innovation labs designed to equip youth with tools to lead in governance, entrepreneurship, and social transformation.
