Today, we celebrate 63 years of independence—a journey marked by resilience, sacrifice, and the unwavering spirit of our people. As we gather to honor this historic milestone, let us reflect on the progress we have made and recommit ourselves to building a nation rooted in unity, justice, and opportunity for all.
Our independence was not just a political achievement—it was a call to purpose. A call to shape our destiny, uplift our communities, and empower every Ugandan to thrive. From the hills of Kabale to the shores of Lake Victoria and beyond, our diversity is our strength, and our shared aspirations are the foundation of our future.
I salute the heroes who paved the way, and I celebrate the youth, women, and leaders who continue to carry the torch of transformation. Let us embrace patriotism, uphold peace, and invest in education, innovation, and inclusive development.
