Hon. Diana Mutasingwa’s Visit to Zzitwe Parish: A Step Towards Empowering Communities
Hon. Diana Mutasingwa recently had the pleasure of visiting and interacting with the vibrant residents of Zzitwe Parish, located in Ssi-Bukunja Sub County, Buikwe South. This visit was part of her ongoing monitoring activities for the Parish Development Model (PDM), a key government initiative aimed at empowering communities through grassroots planning and poverty eradication at the Parish level.
During her visit, Hon. Mutasingwa was able to witness firsthand the tangible benefits brought about by the PDM. The Parish was the proud recipient of a 100-seater tent and over 100 chairs, which will be used to support various community gatherings and activities across its nine villages. This generous provision is expected to foster a stronger sense of community and facilitate important discussions and events that drive local development.
Hon. Mutasingwa expressed her pleasure in witnessing the enthusiasm and commitment of the residents of Zzitwe Parish. She is optimistic about the future of the PDM and looks forward to extending this initiative to other Parishes, thereby boosting community development throughout the region.
As Hon. Mutasingwa continues her support and monitoring of these development efforts, she remains confident that significant improvements in the livelihoods of the people in Buikwe and beyond will be achieved. This collective effort is a testament to the power of community-driven development and the potential for sustainable growth and a brighter future for all.
