Diana Mutasingwa has emerged victorious in the National Resistance Movement (NRM) primary elections, securing the party’s flag for the Woman Member of Parliament seat in Buikwe District ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The Mehta Grounds in Lugazi came alive yesterday as Hon. Diana Mutasingwa, the Minister of State for Gender, Labour, and Social Development, organized a spectacular Women’s Day celebration to honor the industrious women of Buikwe District. The event, which brought together leaders, stakeholders, and hundreds of women from across the region, was a vibrant recognition of their resilience, achievements, and contributions to society.

Mitooma District witnessed a remarkable event yesterday as Honorable Diana graced the launch of the Ruhinda Youth Events Management Group. The initiative, spearheaded by enterprising youth, marked an important step in job creation and community development within the district

Yesterday, residents of Bubiro Health Centre II in Kiringo Parish, Ngogwe Subcounty, Buikwe South experienced a meaningful boost in healthcare services, thanks to Hon. Diana Mutasingwa and her foundation, Diana Ka Foundation. The health camp aimed to enhance access to essential medical services and empower the community to prioritize their health.

Hon. Diana recently joined the Kizigo Boda SACCO Association at their playground in Najjembe Division, where an event filled with energy and purpose unfolded. The association organized a lively football match that brought the community together, fostering camaraderie and creating a platform to address issues affecting their lives as boda boda riders and members of the community.

In a heartfelt visit to Kigenda Village, located in Busabaga Parish, Buikwe District, Hon. Diana made a significant and memorable contribution to the local community. She joined the congregation of Nakamate St. Luke Church for a deeply spiritual prayer service, an event that reflected the importance of faith in fostering unity and togetherness.

This occasion was not merely about spiritual reflection—it also marked an essential milestone in the church’s journey toward development. Nakamate St. Luke Church was hosting a fundraising initiative to support the construction of their church building, a project that symbolizes both their faith and dedication to collective progress.

Hon. Diana, a figure well-recognized for her commitment to community development, actively participated in the fundraiser. Her involvement was a testament to her unwavering belief in the power of faith-based projects to strengthen communities. As a gesture of her support, she generously contributed 10 bags of cement to aid in the construction efforts. Additionally, she extended financial support, further emphasizing her dedication to the success of this noble cause.

Last evening, Hon. Diana Mutasingwa had the honor of attending an Iftar dinner hosted by H.E. Abdulla Al Shamsi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Uganda. The event brought together various delegates and served as a platform for sharing, connection, and strengthening the bond of friendship between Uganda and the UAE.

Today, the community of Naminya Parish, nestled within Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District, witnessed a momentous occasion as Hon. Diana Mutasingwa presided over the commencement of the Nava Stream construction project. This groundbreaking initiative stands as a beacon of hope, promising to deliver clean and safe water to over 10,000 residents spanning more than 10 villages.
