Hon. Diana Mutasingwa Champions Youth Empowerment Through Art and Education in Njeru

Njeru Municipality, Uganda — October 2025

Hon. Diana Mutasingwa, the Presidential Advisor on Greater Buikwe, reaffirmed her commitment to youth empowerment and community development during two landmark events held in Njeru Municipality this week.

Speaking at the Inter Youth Club Music, Dance, and Drama Competitions organized by St. Moses Children’s Care Centre at Nile Vocational Institute, Hon. Mutasingwa praised the initiative for its role in nurturing vulnerable youth through the arts. “It was great to witness such an initiative where vulnerable youths from different parts of Njeru are nurtured through art as a way of empowering them to actively contribute to the development of their communities,” she said.

The event brought together young performers from across the region, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and resilience. Hon. Mutasingwa emphasized the importance of providing platforms for self-expression, noting that such opportunities help shape confident, future-ready citizens. “The event reminded us of the transformative power of giving young people the right platforms to express themselves and shape their future,” she added.

Later in the week, Hon. Mutasingwa joined staff, students, and community leaders in celebrating the 10-year anniversary of The Rays of Grace Academy in Wakisi, Njeru Municipality. She commended the institution for its decade-long contribution to education and youth development. “I congratulate them for this remarkable milestone and applaud them for contributing to the education system,” she said. “Education is a powerful tool for shaping successful futures and empowering young people to make a difference and become all they aspire to be.”

Both events highlighted Hon. Mutasingwa’s ongoing advocacy for inclusive development, youth engagement, and the transformative role of education and creative arts in building resilient communities.
